Due to our continued growth, we are hiring for an Lifecycle Marketing Associate at Wake Research an M3 company.  This is a remote position. 

Job Description

Mission of the Role: 

As the Lifecycle Marketing Associate, you will lead the outreach and engagement efforts of the owned audience, helping to reduce acquisition costs, build user profiles over time, and will be responsible for hitting KPIs with oversight from the Director of Growth. You will work on creating engaging customer flows and journeys to help minimize acquisition costs, develop, and build out user profiles to help with retargeting efforts, and monitor performance of owned audience on all channels to ensure success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Data Analysis and Application: Spearhead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of user data to refine marketing strategies. Employ sophisticated techniques like customer segmentation, cohort analysis, and A/B testing, with a particular focus on identifying medical indications in user profiles for targeted study recruitment.
  • Advanced Customer Segmentation: Utilize your technical background to segment our user base using both demographic and medical-specific criteria, ensuring highly personalized and relevant marketing campaigns.
  • Lifecycle Content Strategy: Craft and implement content strategies attuned to different stages of the customer lifecycle, emphasizing relevance and engagement, particularly in the context of medical research participation.
  • Marketing Automation Mastery: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., Iterable) to streamline and personalize communication, with an emphasis on technical configurations suitable for medical research contexts.
  • Campaign Development and Optimization: Design and optimize multifaceted campaigns targeting customer acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention. This includes creating impactful email content and designs that resonate with diverse patient groups.
  • Lead Nurturing and Conversion: Develop comprehensive lead nurturing programs aimed at guiding prospects through the funnel, with a specific focus on converting them into study participants.
  • Retention Strategy Execution: Implement innovative strategies for participant retention, including the development of loyalty programs and collection of participant feedback for ongoing studies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across M3 Wake Research (including site leaders, sales, and marketing) to produce effective promotional materials for CRM and social media campaigns, ensuring they align with various stages of the participant lifecycle.
  • Digital Asset Management: Aid in the creation, organization, and management of digital assets used in lifecycle campaigns, with an emphasis on materials that cater to a medically informed audience.
  • Campaign Auditing: Regularly evaluate CRM and social media campaigns for their effectiveness and relevance across different stages of the participant lifecycle.



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, with a specific focus on lifecycle or digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using marketing automation tools (such as Iterable) and data analysis software.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and executing marketing projects, particularly those involving customer segmentation, content strategy, and automated marketing campaigns.
  • Solid experience in developing and implementing data-driven marketing strategies, including A/B testing, cohort analysis, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and targeted content for a diverse audience.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams and interacting with stakeholders from various departments, including technical, sales, and medical teams.
